In 2020, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, many shelters were severely impacted with challenges of maintaining safety measures, training staffs and ensuring adequate amount of resources. Refuge of Hope is a men's homeless shelter, where they also serve hot and nutritious meals to hungry men, women and Children.[1] December 2020, EAF donated a number of blankets, gloves, hats, socks, soaps, hot meals, candy bars, drinks toothpastes and toothbrushes in hopes to help the shelter in their mission to end hunger and homelessness.
In 2020, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, Nigeria was forced to temporarily shut down all businesses and this increased the number of people out of work and the rate of hunger in the country. The Eunice Akosa Foundation was able to make some donations of rice to some impacted villages were people would have gone without food.
Total of 306 bags of rice distributed; 195 bags of rice distributed at Nnewi, 111 bags of rice distributed at Emene- Enugu
